For a one-person service business, the owner is the brand. Lugo already knew his customers by name, so the mascot is just him.
The character
A caricature that stays recognizable without turning cruel: real haircut, real beard, exaggerated smile. Thumbs up in one hand, pool net in the other, so the mark states the service and the attitude in one read.
He sits inside a two-tone blue ring that suggests water without drawing a single wave. Cheaper than a scene, and it keeps the badge circular for avatars and truck decals.
The wordmark
White caps with a heavy navy outline, U-GO LUGO on top and POOLS in a blue plate underneath. The plate keeps the service word from getting lost when the logo shrinks to a business card.
